Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cell Pet Salon In San Jose
Rachel Murphy has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog Toto last weekend. According to Rachel , a groomer allegedly taped Toto r's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Rachel recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Toto r's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Wow! My Dog, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.
Rachel took Toto straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Wow! My Dog.
Rachel described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and around the genital areas." The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas, customer of Wow! My Dog posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.
Bad Review
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Wow! My Dog wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. Rachel shared: "Juliann told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Juliann claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He said read more that he uses the method himself on his dogs.
Gate News called Wow! My Dog and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Gate News that they were looking into the allegations. She quickly responded that Wow! My Dog was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
